How to Measure Your Basset

1. Measure the length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. This helps determine the length of clothes.

2. Measure neck at about the same point where you began measuring length. This helps determine the size of the neck opening.

3. Measure the belly about 10 inches below where you measured for the neck. It is important that you measure the belly 10 inches below the neck, as this is where the belly strap will be placed. On boys, you will need to check the "undercarriage" to make sure the strap isn't going to be placed too far back.

4. Measure the "butt" from one hip joint to the other. This helps determine the width of the clothing.
